Johnson University and TNAMFT Presents: Bridging the Gap Conference: Knoxville, TN

“Bridging the Gap:  For Student Interns, Supervisees, and Post Graduates.” Graduating from a counselor training program can feel like jumping off a cliff. Graduation obstacles, licensure hurdles, and trying to find a job using your new skills, along with impending student loans and bills to pay are heavy weights on students and new grads. Getting your new career on track will take focused effort, but knowing what to expect and how to get there is priceless!

The East TN region of the Tennessee Association for Marriage and Family Therapy is offering a unique opportunity to learn what you need to know to make that leap from classes to career. During this interactive conference you can expect to explore how to launch your professional identity and market your personal brand, explore the breadth of career options, learn the difference between MFT, LPC, and LCSW, develop a plan of expected post grad professional expenses, network with local professionals in the field on treatment topics of interest, learn critical details about navigating the licensure process, learn about Temp Licensure and why you might want one, ask your burning questions, and leave inspired to take the next steps towards your professional future. 

The 2022 Bridging the Gap Conference is an all-day event which will be held on October 1, 2022. This year's host is Johnson University and the event will be held on the Johnson Campus in the Phillips-Welshimer Building. 7900 Johnson Drive Knoxville, TN 37998. Cost is only $25 for Members (https://www.aamft.org), $35 for non-Members and includes lunch during the conference.
